Sporty Parts

This is after market bullet type light. I made the bracket for it and

welded it to the axle adjuster. Now it sits nicely next to rear sprocket.

Licence plate bracket. Some steel, some cutting and some holes. Speed
holes, of course. Plate holder is aluminium. Also welded to axle adjuster.

Mid-controls. Levers are 18mm round bar with holes. Harley original
rubbers. Thick aluminium base plates and stainless bungs. Rear master
cylinder is from Kawasaki GPZ, 14mm bore. Works fine with 4-piston
caliper. Took me long to make these, but they fit the bike better than
originals and work as good as them. They're also a bit lower than the
originals, so I don't have to ride my "knees in my mouth".

Upper motor mount with coil and starter switch. 10 steel with stainless
bolts. I'm going to use Dyna-S electronic ignition. Coil and two wires
from cam cover. Simple, reliable and no fancy stuff. Starter switch is
water proof marine supply. What!? No kickstart!? Pussy!

Next Personal Project

Now that my Sportster project is in stretch, it's nice to plan
the next one and throw in some new ideas. My next project was
going to be stroker shovel but I've was forced to sell it
because I needed the money fast. But, no worries! I still
got something in my big bag of tricks... "The Future Bike" is
going to have big twin rigid frame, original springer front end, 23" front
and 18" rear wheel. I have this repop springer which needs some
narrowing. Wheel in the picture is from my Sporty, just testing.
Well, blog followers, I dare you to keep reading my blog until this
project is finished! Bike is going to be ultraslim experience! Whoosaaa!

for 240 wide tire. It has 56 degree rake. First TC frame I've built.

Started new springer build. This is going to be +27" and
it´s going to panhead powered frame. Cleaned and sandblasted
the origibnal parts, fabricated the lower legs and covers. Time
to weld them together.

I had very great time at Verona Bike Expo in Italy. Never seen so many
people in same place. Cool rides and good looking dames. Sideburn magazine
party was hilarious. Dice and Lowride magazine party was also the place to be.
Eveybody should visit Italy. Food and wine is top notch. Shot tons of photos
last weekend, here is just few for the fun of it.

My Sportster project is nearly finished. Exhaust pipes are not yet
done, but after that sheet metal is off to paint and frame is going
to powdercoat with front end. Some parts are going to get antique
surface... This is my last post of this project at this stage. Next post
is when the bike is assembled . Stay tuned!

Springer Sporty Done

Another Sportster project is finished at Moore's. Made "old style"
handlebars, welded straight to center part. Rear fender is made
out of sporty original, narrowed and shrinked. Sissybar made out of
4mm steelbar. Also mounted oil tank, gas tank and seat.

some new steel thrown in. Bolts were also shortened and
customized. Part is going to Johnny's front end.

Sportster Project At Moore

Started metal work on this sporty. It has stock repop
springer and the frame is from Sweden. Nice. First on
the list was mounting the tank. I'll keep you posted when I

Engine is finally assembled and ready. Big thanks to Atte
for help! It is 883 converted to 1200. It has Sportster Sport
cams, Andrews adjustable pushrods, big twin rocker boxes
and some few tricks of the trade.. Sodaplasted heads, class
bead blasted blocks, powdercoated cylinders with few fins
cut of and chopped cam cover.

Whoosaaa! We are starting the "Eastern Racer Shovel" projectagain at Moore's. I'm very excited about this. Frame was done last
winter and in to the frame we are mounting stroker shovelhead motor.
19" rear wheel, 23" front wheel, 39mm front end with clip-on handlebars,
custom made tank, big drum brakes and Baker 6-speed Torquebox!
Cant wait to get my hands on to this!

Work Stuff

Fitted these sweet "Fat Daddy" rims with Metzeler

tires to customers Harley. Rear brake relocated with

new mounting.

Ile's Springer

I helped Ile with his shovelhead project. He had this flathead

springer front end and I modified it to fit the big twin frame.

Lathed some spacers to fit big twin bearings to 7/8" steering axle.

Lowered the original crown nut. About 15 mm off and
welded it back together.

Modified panhead offset tree and made it inline. Some
grinding, welding and pressing too...

Lathed some threaded bungs for the risers.

Sweet Biltwell risers!

Springer ready. Repaired with some new springs and rockers.
